Amber & Nick’s first date was at a small winery in Southern Illinois, tucked away down a couple of winding country roads, and nestled in amongst rolling hills thick with trees and a patchwork of soybean fields. At the crux of one of the turns, before you head down the final stretch of road to the winery, stands the little town of Pomona (or rather the few small buildings that comprise Pomona). Definitely having seen its prime in an earlier era, the charm of this little town is still visible for those that take the time to stop and linger a while.
We did just that for our session with Amber & Nick, and we have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Amber & Nick are so relaxed and enjoyable. We encountering a few locals during the course of our shoot, including a small band of local blood hounds, whom Nick & Amber were good natured enough to let preen and pose with them for a few shots (I (Derren) also involuntarily let one explore my inner ear with his tongue as I crouched to capture a few of the shots that you’ll see. . .). Amber & Nick are seriously an awesome couple, and we’re so excited for them! We’re secretly hoping to hit the main drag of Pomona with them again sometime soon for a night out on the town! Enjoy!
