We met Staci & Matt at a wedding we shot in Chicago last year and we immediately felt a connection with them. At that point they actually weren’t even engaged yet, but everyone felt like it was such an awesome fit that we were already talking about coming out to be a part of their San Diego wedding, whenever that ended up being. We are so glad they decided to have us be a part of this day, because they are two of the nicest and sweetest people we’ve ever had a chance to work with. They also have this ridiculous chemistry together. Whenever we’d get them in front of the camera together they’d just do exactly the right thing shot after shot, without us really having to tell them what to do. They seriously made our job easy!
Their reception was at the Prado in Balboa Park, which has a special place in our hearts. When we were dating, we used to walk often from Derren’s Hillcrest apartment down to Balboa Park on mild San Diego evenings. It was awesome to be back and to be taking part in such a special celebration there. Thank you so much Staci & Matt for bringing us into your day! When will you be getting married again, so we can do this with you guys all over again!? Enjoy!

We also had a chance to work with some amazing wedding professionals throughout this day. Thank you so, so much to Alica at YOUnique Weddings for your help and amazing coordinating job! Kristy & Stacey from Taylored Beauty and Kelsey Doonan also did such wonderful work. Also, thanks to DJ Dennis J for the great music and Cherry Blossom for the absolutely beautiful florals! The cake by Flour Power was awesome–and they had our favorite, Sprinkles, at the wedding as well–yes! And last, but not least, thank you to the Prado, for providing such a stunning setting.
