This was one of the sweetest and most intimate wedding celebrations we’ve had an opportunity to document. When you first meet Tina & Patrick you can immediately tell what kind and generous people they are and you can see that they share a really special connection. For their wedding, in true San Francisco fashion, the morning brought a steady and chilly wind and lots of fog. In spite of the weather, however, their family enthusiastically hauled all the blankets, decorations, refreshments and other things they needed down the winding path, through the 118 foot access tunnel in the solid rock face of the cliff and all the way out to the lighthouse.
Tina & Patrick chose Point Bonita lighthouse as the stunning location for their celebration, which also made this one of the most unique and breathtakingly beautiful spots we’ve had a chance to document a wedding. They were able to reserve the entire lighthouse (which is part of a national park) just to themselves and their family members. The fact that we were the only people there gave this whole morning a pristine and almost magical feel. The lighthouse itself is stunning and is only connected to the mainland by a 150ft suspension bridge, which stretches out over the ocean waves that church 125 feet below. It is an amazing place.
It ended up being absolutely the perfect setting for these two to celebrate the start of their new journey together, and everyone was full of so much joy and was having so much fun that no one really noticed the wind and cold. We loved capturing this day and we hope you enjoy some of our favorite moments!
