Every time a couple asks us to travel to be with them on their wedding day we feel incredibly honored. We love capturing each new place in a unique way and telling the story of the couples’ journey and personal connection there. Charis & Dan chose the beautiful town of North Adams, which is nestled in the picturesque hills of the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. Charis & her family have history there, and the beauty and peacefulness of the surrounding countryside was such a perfect fit for their day. It’s also especially meaningful when a couple initially connects with us at another wedding we’ve documented. In this particular case Charis & Dan met us at a family member’s wedding, who themselves had initially met us at a wedding we shot way back in 2011 – all part of a long line of meaningful connections, which we love. These two also share a special closeness that was so easy to see and was so fun to capture. They truly made us feel a part of the celebration and we loved experiencing the joy of this day!
On a side note, Charis & Dan also discovered the amazing Greylock Works, which is an old cotton-spinning mill which is in the process of being restored into an event space, artisanal food spot and a boutique hotel. Charis & Dan’s wedding was their first and the venue worked hard to finish their conversion of the space just in time for their wedding day. As you’ll see it was an amazing setting for this celebration!
This was such a wonderful day & congrats to these two lovely people!
We want to give special thanks to all the other wonderful wedding professionals that made this day possible. Here are some of the beautiful details they put together for this day, and please swing on by their websites (at the end of this post) to see more of their work!
