Laura & James’ wedding day was such a wonderful expression of their creativity, love for life and appreciation of friends and family. They decided that they wanted to have the wedding at their home, which boasts some large fields where they they held the ceremony and reception, and where they also hope to raise some livestock together someday. James also happens to be an amazing gardener and surrounding the house was an incredible collection of interesting plants, flowers and vegetables, which provided a really unique and beautiful setting for the day. In addition to incorporating different cultural traditions into their ceremony and reception, the day’s festivities also included performances from an Eastern European band and a local troupe of belly dancers (Laura is also a belly dancer and instructor, which is so fun!). Perhaps the most unique thing that Laura & James had planned for their day was the transformation of their outside wall into a giant guestbook, complete with buckets of paint, brushes, and an invitation for guests to leave them a message or well-wish in pictorial form. Laura & James poured so much of themselves into this day and it was amazing to see so much love reflected back to them by their family and friends. Congrats you two — this was such a fun day!

With everything from a Lagoon-side rehearsal dinner with dolphins splashing just off the shore, to an incredibly beautiful and elegant wedding day — let us just say that this was a very special weekend. Kiawah Island, just south of Charleston, SC has been a destination for family vacations for Caroline’s family for years, and the fondness with which everyone talked about their memories there only seemed to add to the joy of the celebration. It was incredible to see everyone who had made the journey to be there and the obvious ways that Caroline & Seth have touched their lives. We are always so grateful when our couples choose to bring us great distances to share a place that’s special to them and trust us to tell their story. It’s such a privilege, and we had such a blast documenting Caroline & Seth’s amazing wedding weekend. Thanks you two for introducing us to an amazing place and for inviting us into your beautiful day! Enjoy! We had such a blast documenting Kyle & Scott’s destination wedding at the O’Donnell House in Palm Springs, CA. These two are such an awesome pair, and when you meet them you sense immediately the special connection that they share through the amount of fun that they have together! Another thing that they share is a love for Palm Springs, which has a special place in their hearts and their relationship, and we were so thrilled to meet them there along with an intimate group of family and friends to capture and celebrate such a fun-filled union! We were super excited when Sofia & Blain asked us to meet them on the Northern California coast for a destination engagement session. One reason this session was so special is because we ended up using as a backdrop the very same spot Blain had proposed to Sofia just a few months before. They love exploring and camping together in this area, and we had so much fun getting our feet wet at the beach and climbing the stoney cliffs along the beautiful and raw shoreline of Humboldt County. We hope you enjoy this little window into our afternoon together! Polina & Ryan decided they wanted to head up to the gorgeous coastline of Mendocino County for their engagement session, which has some of the most beautiful beaches and picturesque scenery the West Coast has to offer. Throw in a little sea breeze (ok, a lot of sea breeze) and some sunshine and we ended up having one amazing day for a session! One thing that makes Polina & Ryan so easy to photograph is that they have so much fun together. From hiking a beautiful costal trail out to a lighthouse, to fording a stream and exploring a magical hidden beach — they never stopped smiling, laughing and enjoying their adventure together. It was so fun to explore this one of a kind coastline together, and we can’t wait to be with them at their wedding in Marin, CA later this year! Enjoy! |
