One thing you should know about us is that we love to travel. That’s a fact. One reason traveling is so appealing to us is because it allows us to see brand new places that we’ve never been before, which we also love. For this recent engagement session, Ali and Justin introduced us to a beautiful and quaint little town north of downtown Chicago called Long Grove. It’s sort of an oasis in the suburbs, and if you’re looking for a quick escape from the urban sprawl into the magical, pristine aura of small town-ness, then this is the place for you. It’s a spot Ali and Justin really enjoy frequenting, and we had so much fun having them show us around and explore its small, quirky spaces.

With that said, some couples just look so natural together, which makes our job so easy and so much fun. Ali and Justin were definitely one of those couples. Their love and care for one another is so apparent, and it really warms our hearts to look back at these photos and see the joy in their expressions. We can’t wait to shoot your wedding you two! Hopefully our travels will bring us back to Long Grove sometime again soon. Enjoy!

Chilly winds are blowing here in the Midwest this week, and we wanted to take a moment to share some images from a session we had with a lovely couple in a warmer time and place. Although this actually was our second attempt at a session with Lindsay and John (our first attempt had been foiled by rain, rain, and more rain), we very fortunately ended up getting an absolutely beautiful day. We love playing in the outdoors on beautiful Fall days, and apparently John and Lindsay do as well! They are just so nice and enjoyable to be around, and the time passed so quickly with them that we were almost surprised (and loth to part) when the session was over.

Well, here they are, without further adieu. You two are awesome and we can’t wait to see you again soon. Enjoy!

We had the very special opportunity to meet Annie and Tyler in person long before we got together for their engagement shoot in Indianapolis this Fall. Annie happened to be a part of another wedding we shot this Summer in Chicago, where we actually had one of last year’s awesome couples in attendance as well. From the first moment we met them we could already tell that they were one of the sweetest couples we’ve have a chance to work with. This was our first time back in Indianapolis in a long time, and Annie & Tyler were so much fun and showed us around their neighborhood, their alma mater Butler, and also ended up taking us to their favorite local creperie for a bite to eat after the shoot (we love crepes!).

We are so excited to shoot their wedding this coming Summer! Also looking forward to our next swing through Indy! Enjoy.

Let us first say that this was such a beautiful day from start to finish. There was beauty not only in the elegance of their wedding venue (the Rookery Building–one of the most amazing venues we’ve had the pleasure of shooting), but also in the warmth and sweetness of emotion that we saw all day from their friends in the bridal party and especially from their families. The importance of the day was also accentuated by the fact that many of their guests traveled great distances to be a part of this celebration (from as far as London and Korea!).

Everyone we came in contact with throughout the day was so welcoming and personal, and it was so meaningful to see so much happiness among so many people. We always love shooting in Chicago (there’s so much to capture in this city), and we had so much fun being with Melany and Eddy on this day! You guys are awesome, and we’re excited to see you guys continue to grow in happiness. Enjoy!
