The Hill is a wonderful little neighborhood, tucked away on the southwest side of St. Louis. Charming little Italian bakeries and cafes dot the neighborhood streets, and squeeze up next to each other with a quaint and warm welcomeness. This is where we had the pleasure of spending much of the day with Katie and Scott (respectively) as they prepared for their wedding day, and the warmth of the surrounding neighborhood seemed to perfectly compliment the love exhibited by them both and their families, and the joy of the day.

Also, in spite of a little rain, and subsequent sweltery afternoon heat, the spirit of the day would not be dampened and we ended up having a great time. Thanks so much for letting us celebrate with you guys! Congratulations to you both.

Shooting Catherine & Eric was less like an afternoon of work and more like getting to hangout with two really fun friends for a few hours. For some reason it felt like we should all be causing mischief together or something–and perhaps we would have been, had we not had to go our separate ways after the sun went down.

It was hot this afternoon to be sure, but we were soon having so much fun that we forgot about the temperature, and had a great time exploring side streets and squeezing through back alleyways together. Thanks so much for being so fun and relaxed–it made for an awesome session. We’re really looking forward to shooting your wedding in the Fall!

We liked Mike and Sara from the first moment we met them, and when we found out that we all loved Thai food and had the same favorite Thai food restaurant in the St. Louis area it just strengthened our good vibes. Mike consistently made us feel good by laughing at almost everything we said during our engagement session with them (thank you Mike!), and that same joyful approach to life exuded from this really fun and beautiful day that we had the pleasure of spending with them. Mike and Sara are awesome in every way! Thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of this special celebration–we had such a fun time. I’m sure we’ll be bumping into you guys down around South Grand sometime soon. Enjoy!
