I had the great pleasure of meeting with Todd and Holly earlier this week in a beautiful little nook in the downtown area of Champaign, Illinois. Word on the street was that both Todd and Holly had magnificent smiles. . . This was uniformly confirmed even as I saw them through their car window as they pulled up together in the parking lot. I could immediately see their bright smiles, which throughout the shoot not only revealed their friendliness, but also their love for and pride in each other. We had a great time exploring the downtown, and, as you’ll see, couldn’t resist making a quick stop at a tasty little local cupcake shop, Cakes On Walnut. Enjoy!
The Ellisons chose the beautiful La Jolla, CA resort of La Estancia as the location for their family shoot a few weeks ago. Part of the reason they chose this spot was because they were married here about a year and a half ago. The grounds are incredible–winding walkways lined with immaculate gardens of succulents and native plants, and tucked away around every corner is a quaint little courtyard, a wonderful little arched doorway, or a seemingly secret little room. We actually spent a lot of time shooting in the small grassy courtyard where Josh and Alli had their wedding ceremony. We had so much fun hanging out with Josh, Alli, Tatum and Kayte–it was a beautiful day with a beautiful family, what more can I say. We hope you enjoy these moments that we captured!
Brent and Christi were the best sports anyone could ask for on their recent engagement shoot in Murphsyboro, Il. We had hoped for decent weather, and though it wasn’t snowing, it was flurrying and the wind-chill made it bitterly cold. Between locations we all had to pile in the car with the heat on for several minutes at a time to make sure we were all unthawed before going back out into the elements to look as natural as possible :-). As you will see Brent and Christi were virtually unphased, and still managed to let their ease and affection for one another come shining through. We had so much fun working with them and can’t wait to work them again. Enjoy!
It was a spectacular day when we met Ken, Tiffany and Zoe in Newport Beach this past weekend. They were so great to work with, and we got especially lucky because Zoe, who usually has quite a bit of personality, and was even more expressive than usual. We had a amazing time capturing them as a family together. We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them!
