We love it when a couple invites us to travel to be with them at their weeding. In this particular case Dave & Arminé were traveling also, coming all the way out from the East Coast for their wedding in Fresno, CA. One of the things that made this trip so special was the opportunity to spend the day with two people as nice, easy-going and caring as Dave and Arminé. As you’ll see, they had so much fun with their friends and family, and danced and celebrated their way through the whole day! Dave is also a talented photographer, and we were honored by his and Arminé’s trust in our creative vision for their day. We hope you enjoy a few of our favorites from this beautiful celebration!

Jim + Lauren – Married | Alamo, CA

This was seriously one of the funnest wedding day celebrations we have had an opportunity to document. Rarely have we seen such joyful dancing and people having fun with such abandon. There were so many beautiful intimate and personal elements to this day, but at the same time it also felt like this big, communal celebration of Lauren & Jim by their whole circle of family and friends. This entailed lots of fake mustache wearing, jubilant singing, laughter and a serious outpouring of love and appreciation. We hope you enjoy some of our favorite moments from this fun-filled day!

Sabrina + Mike – Married | Hopland, CA

Driving up the winding and beautiful stretch of 101 to Hopland, dotted with live-oak trees and following the meandering path of the Russian river, brought back so many memories. This summer we moved from Arcata on the extreme Northern CA coast back down to our new home in San Diego. During our time in Humboldt County this stretch had been a regular and fond part of our frequent drives from Arcata to the Bay Area. So, returning to Hopland for Sabrina & Mike’s wedding felt especially poignant and enchanting. As you will see, the winery where the celebration took place showcased so much of what is beautiful about Mendocino County, and the serene surroundings seemed to reflect Sabrina & Mike so well. It was also wonderful to see their openness and warmth reflected back to them so clearly through the admiration and love of their family and friends. There were so many beautiful things about this day, but the one that shined through more than any other was the depth of affection that Sabrina & Mike have for each other. It was such a pleasure to celebrate with them and to be there to tell the story of this memorable day!

Erica + Chris — Married | Oakland, CA

One thing we love about Chris and Erica is the way their humor and their fun & adventurous spirits come through in everything they do. There were so many parts of this day that they infused with joy and laughed their way through (including a dress mishap that included an unexpected giant stain on Erica’s train before the ceremony — thank goodness her father is a magician with a toothbrush and some soapy water!). It’s also so much fun to capture a day like this that feels so personal and that is filled with so much love and laughter.

Loreta + Joe – Married | San Francisco, CA

There are so many aspects of Loreta & Joe’s wedding that made the day unique. Everything from their spectacular rooftop ceremony location with views of the San Francisco skyline and bay, to the moody speakeasy vibe of their super fun movie-themed reception — everything was such a wonderful personal reflection of the things they love and who they are together. One aspect of the day that was truly unique was the beautiful Aztec wedding ceremony Loreta & Joe and their guests took part in after their traditional wedding ceremony. A group of dancers performed traditional Aztec wedding dances in full garb, which the guests were eventually invited to take part in. Loreta & Joe are such a sweet and enjoyable pair and their wedding celebration was so fun, colorful and meaningful!

We also had the opportunity to work with Jessica and her wonderful team from Dreams On a Dime events — they’re some of our favorites and if you’re planning an SF wedding please do yourself a favor and contact them now!
